In hosting service the two word is most commonly used. The two words are cPanel - Control Panel and WHM - Web Host Manager.
In this lesson we will try to understand what is cPanel and what is WHM? What are the difference between cPanel and WHM?
WHAT IS cPANEL?
cPanel is the control center of a website. From the cPanel you can add new pages, edit pages, delete pages, open email address for a domain / website, open ftp address for a domain / website.
WHAT IS WHM?
WHM is Web Host Manager which is the control center for a host reseller from where he can add new domain / website, delete a domain / website, suspend a domain/website, terminate a domain/website etc.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN cPANEL and WHM?
cPanel controls one domain or one website while whm controls many domains or many websites.
cPanel is website owners control center while WHM is hosting resellers control center.
